Prospero Productions seeking experienced Story Producer

Prospero Productions is looking for an experienced Story Producer to join their team for a 20-part ob-doc series commencing pre-production in March 2023 through until Oct/Nov 2023.

This person will be responsible for the editorial direction of the project; working with the Series Director and Series Producer to identify the narrative arcs of the series and ensure they are being covered by the team. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

The Story Producer will be responsible for the following duties:

·       To research and identify high quality contributors and story lines, under the leadership of the Series Producer and Series Director.

·       To developing and write story briefs and outlines.

·       To maintain good relations and communications with the production team and contributors

·       To regularly interview and brief contributors

·       To identify and contribute to publicity and marketing opportunities during production

·       To keep abreast of story changes that occur through the production process

SELECTION CRITERIA

·       Proven documentary or factual story producing experience

·       The ability to respond accurately and clearly to a brief, and work in accordance with tight deadlines 

·       Confident and articulate verbal and written communication skills 

·       Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people including senior editorial / management staff and contributors.

·       Excellent interviewing skills

·       Strong research, analysis, and organisational skills

·       Internet savvy and competent with both MS Word and Excel
