Part 1 – Batavia’s Bones
The terrible tale of the Batavia in 1629 is one of the most incredible shipwreck stories ever recorded and one of the bloodiest chapters in Australian’s history. When bones of victims are unexpectedly revealed, police forensic scientists team up with maritime archaeologists to investigate a murder mystery that is nearly 400 years old.

Part 2 – Pacific Graveyard
The worlds most spectacular shipwrecks lie in Truk Lagoon. Since Jacques Cousteau uncovered them in the 1960’s, the lagoon has become a Mecca for divers. The legacy of World War II still hangs over this seemingly idyllic pacific atoll with the ghostly remains of more than 50 ships and hundreds of aircraft, tanks, motorcycles and boxes of munitions, lying virtually intact in its calm, crystal clear waters. This fascinating documentary takes us on a journey of exploration to find and protect the last missing Japanese shipwreck.

Part 3 – Bay of Fire
In 1942 Japanese Zeros attacked Australia for the first time causing carnage and tragedy. For 60 years sunken flying boats and aircraft have lain undisturbed in the murky and dangerous waters in and around Broome on the remote Western Australian coast. In this unique and beautiful pearling town rumours of stolen artefacts and a cache of lost diamonds spark fears of treasure hunters destroying historic remains. Using clever detective work a dedicated team of maritime archaeologists brave dangerous currents and poor visibility to discover the location and secrets of the ‘flight of diamonds’.
